Since the nineteen eighties, Women In The Visual Arts, has been an organization for artists of South Florida as an important link for our surrounding art community including our neighboring art students. Our organization has gone through changes  but what remains is that we have always been an organization with “heart”. Our members tell us that the community knows us as, “A very friendly group of women”, Vice President Sandy Ryter tells The Rickie Report.

She shares, “We are planning to exhibit; showing our painters, sculptures, fine crafters and decorative artists.  We have fund-raising activities, arrange group painting sessions and craft times, and create art works to donate to community centers, hospitals and other facilities”. Check out our latest newsletter for updated events and where you can see some of our members’ work (virtually for now). WITVA is looking forward learning about other organizations to build a mutually satisfying relationship that will benefit all of us.

WITVA HOSPITALART Program

WITVA’s HOSPITALART Program is unique in South Florida. WITVA Artist members create colorful paintings and donate them free-of-charge to not-for-profit organizations in Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. Our art is anonymously created by many hands. Each canvas may be a complete painting in itself or grouped to create larger murals. A list of the many organizations served since 1999 is on our website. If you know of a deserving organization that would be interested in art work to help create a cheerful and interesting space, please contact us. Hospitals, clinics, shelters, nursing homes are examples of where we donate our HOSPITALART.  If you are interested in helping to create the art, contact us and we will contact you when we will resume our meetings.

For more information, you may contact our HOSPITALART please visit our website:  WITVA.org
