By attending classes and workshops taught by nationally recognized artists, Bobbin discovered that she still had her artistic talent and she started painting again. Bobbin tells The Rickie Report, “I now paint every day in my home studio in addition to teaching watercolor classes.” She became involved in local Art Societies and began her new journey, entering exhibits and even setting up a tent to sell her art at local communities events.
“Anchors Aweigh!” by Bobbin Salisbury
Those small steps led to bigger ones, as she immersed herself in the Wellington Art Society and found the camaraderie and networking supportive. Bobbin says, ” Many Artists have great talent but are afraid to use it or even show it. This little seed started to grow… and I started teaching – first to friends, and family. Then I was approached by a local art gallery owner to see if I could teach watercolor”. She said “Yes” and the seed bloomed!

“Teaching the arts”, says Bobbin, “gives me great personal and professional satisfaction. I offer an online, virtual Watercolor school, “Recolor Your World” (www.RecolorYourWorld.com) where I work with beginning, intermediate and advanced classes to aspiring artists”. Presently Bobbin is working on writing and illustrating children’s books with the help and inspiration from her grandchildren.
