Betty Wilson’s Little Studio That Could…And Does Make Great Art! The Craft Gallery Offers Classes, Workshops, Studio Space, Party Rentals

In a city full of polished galleries filled with magnificent art, there is a little local working art studio and gallery in West Palm Beach that knocks it out of the park! The Craft Gallery, owned by prominent West Palm Beach artist Betty Wilson, is a jewel tucked away in a small slice of Dixie Highway. Betty’s gallery and studio offers artists the perfect place to hone their craft, display their creations and share their knowledge. Art lovers can experience making art or just browsing for thoughtful and thought-provoking works of art by local artists. As current President of The Ceramic League of the Palm Beaches, Betty’s gallery includes works of art from many League members. Plus, her own creativity can be seen in her artwork on display – ceramics, fused glass creations and encaustic wax pieces.  The Rickie Report shares the details and some sneak peeks!

If you are considering displaying your artwork in a gallery, The Craft Gallery is a great place to be. Works from a variety of local artisans are scattered on shelves throughout the studio and there is a tremendous variety of mediums on display. Betty is regularly showcasing new and seasoned artists at exhibitions and receptions held throughout the year, all open to the public. She also promotes the artists on social media, the gallery website, in a monthly e-newsletter and via local media outlets.

The Craft Gallery also offers studio space for rent. Artists can rent by the hour, day, week or up to a year. There are membership opportunities with many perks for those needing space and materials on an ongoing basis. They also offer many supplies for sale, such as clay, molds for both clay and glass, glazes, clay supplies, etc. Since this is a working studio, artists can experience the pleasure of bouncing creative ideas off of some of the most prolific artists in Palm Beach County and beyond.

Tucked next to the iconic Carvel Ice Cream building, The Craft Gallery is located behind Hair Harbor on Dixie Highway, just north of Forest Hill Boulevard. Check their website and Facebook page TheCraftGallery.net – for information about the latest classes and events. The gallery is open from 10 am to 2 pm, Tuesday through Saturday, or by appointment.
