“Nearly Nude Runway Show” At Lighthouse ArtCenter Brings “TATTOO: The Renaissance Of Body Art” To Life On October 17

In lieu of the regular October 17th 3rd Thursday reception, the Lighthouse ArtCenter Gallery and School of Art presents a special ticketed event, the “Nearly” Nude Runway Show!  Bringing the astonishing art of the exhibition TATTOO: The Renaissance of Body Art” to life, the Runway Show will capture the variety and exquisite artfulness of this very personal and individual form of artistic expression. The models wear creatively devised garments highlighting their body art designed and fashioned by Bosha Stone, of Bosha B. designsThis fun evening includes hors d’oeuvres, wine, and the chance to view the exhibition with a docent.  As a special treat, check out the Bosha B. pop up tattoo runway sale, featuring garments from the “Nearly” Nude Runway Show! TATTOO: The Renaissance of Body Art

Come and experience this exciting, one-of-a-kind exhibition featuring original art on loan from the incomparable Ed Hardy, the iconic Sailor Jerry, and a wide array of incredible 2D and 3D tattoo-inspired pieces from contemporary artists across the country.

Immerse yourself in the tradition of tattoo and explore primitive, tribal, Japanese, Americana, black and grey, contemporary, and vintage flash styles.

In conjunction with the TATTOO exhibition, the art and outrageous custom motorcycles of Ron Finch, the internationally-known motorcycle artist, are on display.

The Lighthouse ArtCenter, a 501c (3) not-for-profit, was founded in 1964 by eight artists and Christopher Norton. In the last 54 years it has grown to include a gallery, school of art, gift shop, and art supply store. Supported by memberships, sponsors, and grants the ArtCenter now serves over 20,000 guests, 2,500 students, 45 faculty members, 500 summer ArtCampers and a comprehensive outreach program to benefit underserved and disabled residents in the community.
