Youth Summer Campers Are Immersed In Creativity And Art! Art! Art! At The Boca Raton Museum Art School. Available Through August 9.

The Boca Raton Museum School of Art offers weekly Youth Summer Camp through August 9.  A typical Day includes creating new art projects, collaborating on team projects, exploring world cultures and art history, learning new art terms, recreation, game time, film, and quiet time.   The Rickie Report shares the details and some sneak peeks.  Ages 5- 12 are welcome!

WEEK 5 (JULY 1, 2, 3, & 5)

‘ART’RAGEOUS DRAWING AND PAINTING FROM LIFE

Learn the fundamentals of drawing and painting while sketching objects from life. Experimentation and creativity are encouraged to develop confidence in working with a variety of media.

WEEK 6 (JULY 8-12)

COMIC CHARACTER CREATOR: HEROES & VILLAINS

Have fun creating original hero and villain characters and creative creatures while learning the basics of cartooning and everything anime. Create stories full of action and suspense by building a story arc with a beginning, middle, and end.

WEEK 7 (JULY 15-19)

3-D SCULPTURE SENSATIONS

Learn techniques for constructing sculptures with a variety of fun materials while exploring the basic elements of art: color, form, line, shape, space, texture, and value.

WEEK 8 (JULY 22-26)

COMIC CRAZE: CREATIVE STORYTELLING

If you love to draw and have ever wished you could bring your drawings to life through cartooning, this is the camp for you! Develop original characters, situations, and storylines, then combine them with hand drawn elements of constructed animations.

WEEK 9 (JULY 29-AUGUST 2)

ARTIST’S STUDIO: DRAWING SKILLS & TECHNIQUES

This week’s camp is designed to help emerging young artists build strong technical skills utilizing a variety of drawing techniques and mediums. Use observation from life and imagination to create unique, one of a kind works of art.

WEEK 10 (AUGUST 5-9)

GOING GREEN: UPCYCLING WITH MIXED MEDIA

Unleash the power of transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. Bring found objects and recycled materials to life by transforming them into beautiful works of art.

  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 9;00 am- 4:00 pm

  • Doors Open: 8:30 am – 9:00 am (Mon), 8:45 am (Tue – Fri)

  • Early Care: 8:00 pm – 9:00 am ($25 per week) 

  • After Care: 4:00 pm – 5:15 pm ($25 per week) 

  • Closed Wednesday July 4 (during week 5)

A typical Day Includes…
