Artist members of APBC were asked to submit their original, most recent work of any subject. 2D and 3D works were welcomed in all media including ceramics, drawing, textiles, glass, jewelry, mixed media, metal, oils, pastel, acrylics, photography, printmaking, watercolor, collage and wood. Gallery Co-Manager, Maxine Schreiber, was chosen to be the featured artist and her oil paintings, “The Gift” and “The Raffle Prize” will hang in the front window.

The gallery is proud to announce that Joan Lipton, Ph.D. will be the Judge for awards. Dr. Lipton is an independent lecturer and art historian who received her Ph.D. from The Graduate Center of the City of New York, with a specialization in 19th and 20th-century art. A popular lecturer, she has held numerous workshops in colleges, alumni associations, adult education centers and libraries in New York City and New Jersey; she is pleased to share her knowledge and enthusiasm at the Society of Four Arts in Palm Beach as well as at the Mandel Public Library in West Palm Beach. 

Also mark your calendars for other events at the gallery. The third Monday of each month at 6:30 PM the public is invited to an Art Salon. For this monthly gathering, artists are encouraged to bring a work of art and/or refreshments for sharing. Admission is free for members of APBC, but the general public is invited to attend the event for a $5.00 admission fee. Payment will be collected at the door and will be applied towards the membership fee, if one wishes to join at the meeting.
