Call to Artists! Plein Air Quick Draw applications are now being accepted for Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Flagler Park in Stuart, Florida.   Artists will have 2 hours to paint “en plein air”. Artists will then present their works on their easels for judging by Nancy Tankersley, last year’s Grand Prize winner, and prizes will be awarded. Awards include cash and prizes worth almost $2,000 total for all awards, first place is $500 cash, second is $150, and third is $50. The public can come and watch the artists paint, and then have the opportunity to purchase the paintings on the spot, after the judging.  The Rickie Report shares the details here.

Artists should fill out an application (available online at www.PleinAirLAC.org). Cost is $40 to apply. Or they can come between 8 and 9 am to register and get their canvas stamped. Artists will have 2 hours to paint “en plein air”.
