Diane Hutchinson
Diane fell in love with oil painting at an early age and pledged to dedicate her life to painting when the time was right. In 1988 she and her husband, Hutch, moved from Columbus, Ohio to Lantana, Florida where Diane set up her studio and began fulfilling her dream – the time was right.
“Gold Leaves” by Diane Hutchinson
While realistic landscapes are a big part of her many paintings, when her father passed away in 2014, Diane found a new love for vibrant colors and style of painting. Her collection of paintings from another planet will be displayed in the Lake Worth Art League during her January show. Here she displays a variety of whimsical landscapes and colors which hopefully, bring a smile to the face of those viewing her show.

Although she is serious in her love of painting, Diane often enjoys adding a touch of humor to her paintings. She also loves dogs and enjoys painting their many expressions. Being very concerned about our environment and way before it became the norm, Diane and her sister began a company wherein her sister sewed heavy weight canvas bags and Diane painted designs on them. The goal was to encourage and educate people in the benefits of reusable shopping bags versus disposable plastic. Today, as the trend has caught on, Diane is still painting fine art and often whimsical critters and designs on canvas carry-all bags that are sold in the Lake Worth Art League’s Boutique.
