She now makes her home in Wellington. Kathryn loves to travel and take photographs of scenes or people she might like to paint. Her favorite subjects are beaches, tropical landscapes, unusual or historic buildings and people in interesting places. There’s always a certain photo that inspires her to create a painting. Colors in nature, a scene, a subject, the mood created by light and dark and shadows capture her interest. The subject or scene determines the medium she will use: watercolor or oil.

Kathryn’s art has been displayed at the Armory Art Center, Art in Public Places at the Palm Beach International Airport, Wellington Community Center, Wellington City Hall, Art Fest on the Green, Lake Worth Art League, Palms West Hospital, Lighthouse Gallery and Art Center in Tequesta and Oak Bistro and Wine Bar. Her paintings are also in many private collections.

The Wellington Art Society is a non-profit charitable organization In its 37th year. It is open to artists of all mediums and patrons of the arts, allowing both local and regional artists to display their art work in local galleries, interact with other artists and serve the community through their art.
