Cynthia Zmetronak

Cynthia Zmetronak is known for her whimsical canine and feline black and white pottery, as well as for more functional and traditional designs. “Making pottery, glass casting and teaching are my passions,” she says. A teacher as well as a potter, Cynthia believes it’s important for potters to start with a good foundation by learning basic building techniques. She loves to embellish her pieces by stamping, carving and altering the surfaces, and encourages students to start to channel their ideas once they have achieved that solid technique.
