Lynne Pittard To Be Featured Demonstrator At Opening Of Wellington Art Society Meeting
Internationally known oil painter and teacher, Lynne Pittard, will be the featured demonstrator for the Wellington Art Society’s opening membership meeting of the year on September 13, 2017 in the Wellington Community Center. Attendees will have a Meet and greet, followed by a member spotlight and brief meeting. Lynne’s demo “Tricks and Techniques for all Artists” and a wonderful raffle will finish out the evening. Artists who are interested in learning about oil painting, networking with potential licensing agents and more should attend this event. Lynne Pittard was born in Augusta, Georgia but moved to Miami as a child. After high school she attended Florida Southern College. She married in 1965 and moved to Palm Beach County with her husband and three children. She spent the next twelve years caring for her family. She first began to paint in oils as a hobby in 1980 but was so gifted that she shortly began teaching at a local high school.

Within her second year of painting she was teaching oils at three local art leagues, three continuing education programs at high schools and one at Palm Beach Junior College (now Palm Beach State College). Lynne is an artist that paints with passion and versatility and her paintings have a subtle softness that created an overwhelming demand for her classes.

Her desire to share her passion for painting led to becoming an instructor on national television “Painting with Pittard” which has aired nationwide for twenty-five years. Her images are licensed and published worldwide and a favorite of collectors and she is also the author of eight books on the art of painting. Lynne shares her love of painting through workshops and seminars, traveling and teaching in over thirty states and abroad.

A true visionary and artist’s advocate, Lynne launched a revolutionary concept for television with her Visual Arts Network, a satellite and cable network with the finest art instructions and entertainment programs available worldwide through TV and IPTV.

The Wellington Art Society is a non-profit charitable organization in its 36th year. It is open to artists of all mediums and patrons of the arts, allowing both local and regional artists to display their art work in local galleries, interact with other artists and serve the community through their art.
