WAS And Whole Foods Wellington Feature International Fine Artist Laurie Snow Hein

The Wellington Art Society in conjunction with Whole Foods Market Wellington features internationally licensed fine artist, Laurie Snow Hein. The public is invited to attend a Meet The Artist Reception on Friday, August 25th. Whole Foods Market Wellington will provide delicious appetizers, wine and live music. In addition, there will be special door prizes. The Wellington Art Society requests a $5 per person donation to go toward their Scholarship Fund. Her paintings are on exhibition now through September. Combining art food, wine and music is a wonderful way to begin your weekend! Laurie Snow Hein “Blue Cypress Lake Osprey”

 

 

Laurie Snow Hein is published and licensed worldwide as an award winning artist and illustrator.  She has been painting all her life. Both her parents, her grandmother and her brother were also artists. When she was 12, Laurie started studying with Graham Ingels, a retired illustrator and portrait painter in Lantana. After high school she won a full scholarship to Columbus College. Laurie married and enjoyed painting part time but at age 40 after her husband lost his job, she began teaching and accepting portrait commissions in order to support her family.

Laurie’s paintings were noticed by a national publisher and her successful career in art publishing and licensing was launched. You can find her licensed products in Walmart, Target, Cracker Barrel and specialty shops. She is proud she was able to support her six children with her art. Her painting style is “Old World Realism”, which is highlighted in her Southern landscapes, Everglades imagery, tropical plants and seascapes. Her paintings are alive with vibrant color and light. She is also known for her creative portraits of children, adults and animals. Laurie is a successful oil painter, illustrator of several books, art instructor and portrait artist.

Laurie teaches art classes, conducts workshops and displays her art in top festivals throughout the country. She is listed in “Who’s Who in American Art”, “Who’s Who in America” and “Who’s Who Of American Women”. She has painted executive portraits for Furman College, Palm Beach Atlantic College and St. Vincent Hospital. Avon Company commissioned her to paint the Mothers Day plate in 2009 which sold out. Her newest collection “Freedom’s Spirit” was started to raise awareness of the plight of the wild mustangs of America.
