Art Synergy Features 11 Artists At ArtPalm Beach 2017 And 65 District Wide Events
Celebrating its 20th year in 2017, ArtPalmBeach is dedicated to contemporary, emerging, and modern master works of art of the 20th and 21st centuries. Over 90 international galleries will be exhibiting paintings, sculpture, as well as functional and innovative design. Art Synergy, in collaboration with ArtPalmBeach will produce more than 65 exhibitions throughout nine Palm Beach County plus Martin County Art Districts in January 2017 during ArtPalmBeach week. ART SYNERGY is a county-wide movement to unify and promote the diverse culture of our vibrant arts community. In early 2013 a group of local artists pulled together to create Think Tank. Dedicated to finding solutions instead of dwelling on problems, the Think Tank was a forum for local artists and art advocates to come together and discuss ideas to help the local scene grow.
The first initiative was a program of events to coincide with ArtPalmBeach; in hopes that the local scene could benefit from the popular art event much like Miami has benefited from Art Basel. Soon it was named ART SYNERGY and took shape. Locals artists Rolando Change Barrero, Craig McInnes and Freddy Hennevelt spearheaded the organization.
ART SYNERGY’s future goals include events that will happen periodically throughout the year, the addition of more participating art districts, initiatives that help unify the many diverse art entities, and talented artists that Palm Beach County has to offer. With the help of local CRAs, Public Arts Departments, the DDA in WPB and the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County, to name a few, ART SYNERGY has only one place to go… onward and upward. Currently, Rolando Chang Barrero, President and Ilene Gruber Adams, Vice President are managing the organization along with the support of many artists and art lovers in the community.
