Ilene says about her own work, “The artists that influenced me the most are Robert Rauschenberg and Maxfield Parish. Rauchenberg’s influence is apparent in my paintings that incorporate paint, collage, photographic images and artifacts. They evoke a feeling of nostalgia or of imaginary places. Parrish is evident in her photography in her enhanced use of color”. Ilene’s work will be exhibited at several shows and galleries this coming season.
