The Rickie Report would like to emphasize that “local artists” confirms that these artists make this area their residence. In many cases, these “local artists” have shown their work Nationally and Internationally. Southeast Florida is blessed with an abundance of “local artists”! We applaud Karla Walter and Sherry Stephens for offering this photographic bonanza!

“In the hands of a photographic artist, the camera is just a tool, like a painter’s brush, a starting point toward achieving a creative vision, whether it is consciously planned or happens spontaneously,” said Professor Sherry Stephens, who curated the exhibition with Art Gallery Specialist Karla Walter.

Stephens also notes that much of what transpires between pointing the camera and finishing a print or editing a film is the actual artistic journey for photographers.
