Rolando Chang Barrero, of Box Gallery shares a Call For Artwork for the next exhibition, “Flora and Fauna: The River of Grass and Beyond”.  “Flora and fauna” refer to plant and wildlife, respectively. The term is often used to refer to the indigenous plant and wildlife of a geographical area. This exhibition is open to all professional artists working in the following mediums: Visual Art: 2D, 3D, 4D (Kinetic-Movement , sound, light Performance Art, Video, Film, and Musical Performance. All work under 10 feet in height will be considered. FLORA and FAUNA:

All artists wishing to participate are required to submit an application to the
The Box Gallery and must apply online.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES:

This exhibition is open to all professional artists working in the following mediums:
Visual Art: 2D, 3D ,4D (Kinetic-Movement , sound, light Performance Art, Video, Film, and Musical Performance)
All work under 10 feet in height will be considered.

Artist may be responsible for installation of their work depending on complexity. All work must arrive ready to hang.

All artists wishing to participate are required to submit an application and must apply online.

The non-refundable fee for the online application is $25
per submission as follows:
2D works one image per work, up to 3 works per submission.
3D works 2 images per work, up to 3 works per submission.

Kinetic work, sound installations, video, film, performance art, and music must send 1 link and support material.

The deadline to apply is August 15, 2016.

All work to be exhibited must be well conceived, expertly executed, and arrive ready to hang or professionally presented.
All work should reflect the individuality of the artist or group presenting.

-Photography, lithographs, works created in series, etc must be numbered and accompanied by certificate of authenticity by artist.

Notification of acceptance to the exhibition will be sent via email on or before September 20, 2016.

All work must be delivered to The Box Gallery within 10 days (AUGUST 30, 2016) of notification of acceptance and must be picked up from The Box Gallery on October 2, 2016.

Works not picked within a 10 day grace period, will incur a $10 storage fee starting on October 2, 2016 which must be paid at time of pick up. All work left after October 12, 2016 becomes the property of The Box Gallery and may be donated, sold, or dispersed of.

A contract and other forms will be provided to those accepted upon delivery of artwork.

Please double check to make sure you have entered an up-to-date email address, phone number, and mailing address on your application.

**All submitted 2D or hanging works must be wired and ready for hanging, loose flat work not framed (I.e. prints, photographs, etc.) will not be acceptable entries.**

ENTRY RULES:

The images submitted must fully reflect the work to be exhibited in the gallery.

An artist who works in more than one media category, must submit an application in each category.

If one application is accepted, only that work in that category will be exhibited.

File size:no lager than 5” x 7”
Price list of all work submitted (Gallery will retains 50% commission on all sales)
In such case where performances. special presentations and or screenings a donation may be suggested and split with artist or group 50/50.
