Jim Campbell Is Featured Artist At Spanish River Gallery
Well-known artist, Jim Campbell, will be showing his oil paintings and acrylic paintings in the Friends Art Gallery at the Spanish River Library in Boca Raton. This collection will include favorites from his travels abroad and some still-life compositions completed in his studio. This Free Exhibit is Open to The Public during regular hours from May 8th through June 25th. The Rickie Report shares some sneak peeks and the details.

“Italia” By Jim Campbell
A World War II Army veteran, Jim used the GI Bill to attend the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated in 1953 and embarked upon a 30-year career as an interior decorator. He was also a classical music radio announcer and a travel tour manager. Jim went to night school to study languages and is fluent in conversational French, German, Italian, and Spanish.

Jim is a member of the Boca Raton Museum of Art and a former member of the Delray Art League, where he served three years as Membership Committee Chair. He is a former member of the Boca Museum Artists’ Guild, the Lake Worth Art League and the Naples Art League.

Jim Campbell tells The Rickie Report, “Although I have done many things in my life, painting is my passion”! Jim’s style is colorful, somewhat impressionistic and reflects old world charm.

As a result of his worldwide travels and painting “on the go,” Jim’s paintings are hanging in private homes and businesses all over the world. He has had several one-man exhibitions at the former Governors Club in West Palm Beach, Boca Raton City Hall, Science of the Mind, Sugar Sand Park Community Center, The Harid Conservatory, James A. Rutherford Community Center and the Delray Beach Library.

He has also participated in various juried shows with the Boca Raton Artists’ Guild, WITVA, NLAPW and the Delray Art League. Jim also has two paintings on permanent display at the Boca Raton Regional Hospital – one in the Lynn Women’s Health & Wellness Institute and one in the Lynn Cancer Institute.
