Nathan D. Rosen Museum Gallery Invites You To “Art 2016 Biennial Juried Art Show”
“Art 2016 Biennial Juried Exhibition” opens at the Levis JCC Sandler Center in Boca Raton. From a hip-hop dancer to a kaleidoscope of color, sultry black and white scenes to mouth-watering plates of food—”Art 2016″ brings a delightful smorgasbord of works juried into the show from over 430 submissions from around the country. The Free Opening Reception takes place on February 11th. Whether you love photography, oils, watercolors, pastels, sculptures, 3-D, contemporary, still life, the humorous, the political, the esoteric, the sublime—you’ll find something to catch your eye in this eclectic show. “Attitude” by Sydelle Lazar
“Art 2016 Biennial Juried Exhibition” opens at the Levis JCC Sandler Center in Boca Raton. Winners of the Art 2016 Biennial Juried Competition will be announced on Thursday, February 11th, at the Opening Reception, 4-6 p.m., at the Nathan D. Rosen Museum Gallery. The competition, which drew 432 submissions from around the country, includes original paintings, graphics, mixed media, wood, clay, metal, glass, fiber art, fine beaded jewelry, sculptures and photographs.
“Explorations in Blue” by Caryn Kabat
“Art 2016”, founded and sponsored by Sylvia Rosen over twenty years ago, is held every other year. Walter O’Neill, Director of the Art School at the Boca Raton Museum of Art, judged this year’s competition. Awards will be presented at 5 p.m. and include: Best in Show ($1,000), Craft Art Award ($500); 3 Awards of Merit ($250 each) and 3 Honorable Mentions. The reception is free and open to the public—RSVP to 561-558-2520. The exhibit runs through March 17.
