Announcing Earth Day Poetry Contest!

The Poets of the Palm Beaches announces a Poetry Contest!  The theme of the poem must be related to the Earth Day cause of love and concern for the planet and all its inhabitants. All forms of poetry are acceptable. Contest entry is free. This contest is open to residents of Palm Beach County only. You must maintain at least a part time residence in Palm Beach County to be eligible. It’s open to members and non-members of Poets of the Palm Beaches. The Rickie Report shares the details here. 2016 EARTH DAY POETRY CONTEST

 

 

 

We are asking you to submit your Earth Day poems for this special contest. The theme of the poem must be related to the Earth Day cause of love and concern for the planet and all its inhabitants.

 

 

  • All forms of poetry are acceptable.
  • Entries must be typed, and printed on one side of 8 ½ X 11 paper, single or double-spaced.
  • No artwork or fancy fonts.
  • Each poem must have a title.
  • Only ONE poem per page, in normal 12-point font.
  • On the top show your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address.
  • Please submit all entries at the same time.
  • There is a maximum of 3 poems per poet.
  • Entry to the Earth Day Contest is free.
  • This contest is open to residents of Palm Beach County only. You must maintain at least a part time residence in Palm Beach County to be eligible.
  • It is open to members and non-members of Poets of the Palm Beaches.
  • Keep copies of your poems, as none will be returned.

 

Judges unaffiliated with The Poets of the Palm Beaches will select the winners.

First Prize: $50, Second Prize: $25, Honorable Mentions.
