On January 23 & 24, 2016 the 7th Annual Boca Raton Fine Art Show™ will bring fine artists and fine craftspeople to the area. Voted in the top 100 juried art fairs in the country, the Boca Raton Fine Art Show™ showcases 170 professional artists of all disciplines including paintings, sculpture, clay, glass, wood, fiber, jewelry, photography, and more. One of the exciting parts of this Show is seeing the “Budding Artists”. The Rickie Report shares this Call For Art Entries for Ages 9 – 19 years old or grades 6 -12. We urge you to share this application and information with everyone you know who is involved with children and young adults – let’s help encourage the next generation of artists!

Downtown Boca Raton on Federal Highway at Palmetto Park Road
The Budding Artist competition is provided with premium location within the show to display all of the budding artist entries. There is $250 in cash awards provided to four winners, along with a beautiful, colorful two-foot-long ribbon. Criteria for judging the youth art is on technique/execution and originality, which is similar for judging of the professional artist awards. As art programs are being dramatically cut and eliminated in schools nationwide, the need for such initiatives is made even more relevant.
Budding Artist Award of Excellence Shelby Goldring, Mixed Media
On Sunday, January 24 at 3:00 pm under the “Budding Artist Tent”, the Budding Artist awards will be announced and presented. Photographs of the winners and other youth art participants will be taken.
A Budding Artist art application is available at www.hotworks.org. Please mail applications to PO Box 1425, Sarasota, FL 34230. The application fee is $3 per entry; with up to two entries per student accepted.
Budding Artist Award of Excellence Craig Ira, Drawing
This art fair is juried by art professionals who have combined 120+ years’ art experience and education – all work is original and personally handmade by the artist participating in the show. Voted in the top 100 art fairs in the country, the Boca Raton Fine Art Show showcases 170 professional artists with all discipline for sale including paintings, sculpture, clay, glass, wood, fiber, jewelry, photography, and more. The Boca Raton Fine Art Show is sponsored by Hot Works, LLC, a professionally produced fine art fair by an executive director with a national standing and reputation.

Budding Artist Award of Excellence Jessica Pan, Drawing
The Institute for the Arts & Education is our 501c3 non-profit arm which focuses on visual arts, diversity, community enrichment, and fostering art education amongst youth. As part of our commitment to include art education in the Boca Raton Fine Art Show and the community, a Budding Artist Art competition is integrated into the event. Young artists in grades 6-12 or ages 9-19 are invited to apply with their original and personally handmade art. This competition gives budding, young artists a golden opportunity to begin learning the rules of being part of a professional art show and exhibition.
