Armory Art Center Presents Women in the Visual Arts (WITVA) – “Artistic Visions III”

The Armory Art Center will present Women in the Visual Arts (WITVA) – “Artistic Visions III”.  This is an open juried exhibition featuring 2D and 3D works in mediums including oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, wood, stone, metal, ceramics, glass, jewelry, and photography. Women in the Visual Arts (WITVA) is a non-profit organization. It was founded in 1989, to promote public interest in the visual arts through its programs and activities. Men and women are welcome to become members of WITVA.  The public is invited to the exhibit and the Opening Reception on October 30th.  In addition, the Armory’s  glass, jewelry, and ceramic studios will be Open to the Public that evening. Guests can see various art demonstrations, talk to art instructors about their classes, and purchase student art work. The Rickie Report shares the details and some sneak peeks!

Women in the Visual Arts (WITVA) is a non-profit organization. It was founded in 1989, to promote public interest in the visual arts through its programs and activities. Men and women are welcome to become members. WITVA currently has over 250 members from all over South Florida.  It is a wonderful organization for artists to network and learn from each other.

In addition to the WITVA exhibition, the Armory will hold OPEN STUDIOS for glass, jewelry, and ceramics  on the evening of the Opening Reception. Guests can see various art demonstrations, talk to art instructors about their classes, and purchase student art work.

 

 

The mission of the Armory Art Center is to inspire the creation and experience of art. The Armory’s vision is to be the leading visual arts education and exhibition center of the Palm Beaches. Housed in an historic Art Deco building, the Armory provides art classes for students of all ages, exhibitions, art salons, lectures, and special events. Twenty exhibitions are hosted annually in three galleries. Nearly 100 courses held in 12 state-of-the-art studios are offered including ceramics, digital arts, drawing, glass fusing, jewelry, painting, printmaking, fibers, sculpture, and more.
