Spring at the Boca Museum Art School Offers New Workshops
Spring at the Boca Museum Art School means new classes and workshops. Learn a new technique or refresh your skills in a Saturday Workshop. If you have not taken an art class at the Boca Museum Art School attending a workshop is a great introduction to their faculty and studios. On exhibit in art school gallery is art work by current students in painting and drawing classes. Spring classes for adults, teens and children begin April 20. Weekend Workshops begin March 14th. MARCH ART WORKSHOPS
Enameling
Choose your colors ! An introduction to enameling techniques for use in jewelry or making small objects. Create a unique jewelry piece or low bowl as you learn to fuse glass powder onto copper. Explore stamping, stenciling, sgraffito or texturing silver foil to enliven your enamel with pattern and design.

Flower Arranging “Mommy and Me” “Daddy and Me”
Have fun together learning professional techniques of traditional or contemporary floral compositions. And bring home a beautiful personal floral arrangement.

Instructor: Pinky Shmerler
Tuition: $40 per parent and one child. Material fee: $20 per arrangement
Gelatin Plate Printing on Fabric
A fun, creative technique to create one-of-a-kind monotype printing on fabric . Participants will use found objects, paper stencils and masks, on an inked printing plate made from gelatin. Multiple images and colors can be layered to explore the many possibilities of this unique printing technique and create intriguing designs.

Instructor: Andrea Huffman Tuition: $75, Material fee: $10
Pastel Drawing and Painting
Using a mixed media approach, start with an under painting in watercolor then add pastels. Develop a pastel painting that is luminous. Portraits, still life and landscapes can be explored this way. Abstract artists welcome to explore this medium as well.
