H. Allen Benowitz, a self-taught photographer, born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, migrated to Miami, FL, in the 1960s. As an evolution from the accomplishments of his professional court reporting, legal videography, and videoconferencing career, the camera became a natural segue to photography, awakening an earlier passion from childhood. “My private passion for photography is motivated by my love of life.  My purpose is to capture and share my visual adventures and travels with you. I consider myself a life sampler, which is reflected in the variety of my work.” Recognition for his work includes a Judges’ Award at the University of Miami Lowe Art Museum’s Beaux Arts Festival and honorable mention in the International Kodak Contest. His work has been featured in numerous publications, including Miami Monthly Magazine, Coastal Elegance & Wealth Magazine, ARTnews, Art Business News, and the Laurel of Asheville.

Women of Moroccan descent and master ceramicists, mother and daughter Anita Schwartz and Alexandra Hasson create functional porcelain ceramics vessels. Influenced by traditional Moroccan forms and Zillij mosaic tile designs, their approach harmonizes seemingly incongruent elements into vessels both familiar and eccentric. “We have been brought up surrounded by a rich culture that places great emphasis on the importance of hospitality and family traditions. Moroccans welcome the opportunity to show their generosity and hospitality by welcoming guests into their homes to visit and share meals. The vessels are ornately painted and decorated so that meals served will feast the eyes as well as the palate.”
