The art exhibition of “Chile in Color” will feature Raymonde’s most vibrant colors in acrylics on canvas.   Raymonde tells us, “I believe that I was born an artist because of my interest in designs and color at an early age. My hope is to be a messenger of beauty to the viewer. This is my motivation. I value beauty in nature, photographs and people. I like interesting shades of light and shadows, expressing them on canvas gives me joy.” http://www.raymondesgallery.com/

Born in Haiti, Raymonde began doodling and sketching at a tender age. She would silence her desire to study art when a choice of career became necessary. Raymonde graduated from Pharmacy School and would get back to her artistic talent on a part-time basis. She soon got the opportunity to be a student of Barbara Minch, a well known New- Jersey artist who introduced her to different media, using the graph system and other techniques. She participated in numerous juried shows and exhibited her work with Exhibitor Co-op founded by Barbara Minch. She was a second prize winner at the South Orange Art Show in South Orange, NJ . Raymonde has also worked on commissions of children’s portraits.

Moving to Florida in the tropical setting of her dreams, she joined the Andros Isles Art Group under the mentoring abilities of Karen Knight, and became a member of the  Wellington Art Society. Raymonde participated in Palm Beach County’s Art in Public Places in 2008. Her artwork was chosen and displayed at Palm Beach International Airport.

Along with her fellow members of The Artists Association of Jupiter, Raymonde now sells her work in her own gallery, A Unique Art Gallery,  in Jupiter. Versatile and in love with strong light and shade, Raymonde is happy to express her talent. Realism with creative expression give her a special touch with any subject.

This month’s event will help The Haitian Organization for Health Services (HOHS), a nonprofit benevolent corporation functioning under the laws of the State of New York. HOHS was founded in 1993 by health care workers (nurses, physicians, social workers, health technologists, etc) who were concerned about the deterioration of the healthcare system in Haiti.  The mission of HOHS is to provide comprehensive services that will promote and preserve the health of the people in Haiti. hohs1993@gmail.com
