A Look at Palm Beach County: Young Masters Virtual Art Auction
Young Art Masters Auction showcases the talents of local student artists while raising funds for the art programs that nurture those talents. Wellington residents Jeremy and Margaret Jacobs provided supplies to four area public high schools, enabling the students to create pieces for a virtual auction. The participating schools are: Wellington High School, Palm Beach Central High School, Royal Palm Beach High School, and Seminole Ridge Community High School. Each piece interprets the theme “Palm Beach County – through the eyes of young artists.” The Rickie Report shares a sneak peak at some of the entries plus all the information you need to make your bid! This auction runs through April 10th.

Students in advanced 2-D painting/drawing and photography classes from Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, Palm Beach Central, and Seminole Ridge high schools worked for about six weeks to create the 24 by 36-inch pieces.
All the supplies were purchased from local art supplier Jerry’s Artarama of West Palm Beach.
The students created 27 acrylic-on-canvas paintings and 17 original photographs, which are on display at Wellington Regional Medical Center.
In exchange for a “high-bid” donation directly to the young artist’s school art program, individuals will be gifted with the painting or photograph of their choice.
The auction will run through April 10th. To see the artwork and place a bid please visit: www.youngartmasterswellington.org
