Palm Beach Smashing Glass
Irene tells us, “I am a retired speech pathologist and Florida native, who lives in West Palm Beach. I was always an art lover/collector and began taking fused glass classes nine years ago. I studied with a private teacher, took classes at McMow Art Glass Center, Art Glass Environments, Kay Weiner’s Glass Classes, and in several out-of-town venues. Now I have my own studio because my hobby has become my passion!”
“Working with glass has allowed me to express my creativity and love for color, shape and form. I get lost in my work and experience a thrill each time I open my kiln. I sell my work at several galleries and am thrilled to be one of the artists at the Florida Craftsmen Gallery in St. Petersburg, Artisans on the Ave in Lake Worth, and at the OSGS Gallery in the Northwood neighborhood. My creations have been exhibited in many juried art shows and I was featured as an Emerging Artist at ArtiGras, 2012”.
