Why Buy Original Art?
SEE ART * LOVE ART * BUY ART
When Boca Raton Fine Art Show™ Executive Director Patty Narozny attended the Western States Arts Federation’s annual Conference for Art Fair Directors in Louisville, KY, in October, an entire session focused on educating the public to purchase original works of art. It was explained that in many of our communities, schools are lacking art education. Art grants and budgets are either being reduced or eliminated. It was emphasized that we need to take responsibility in educating our audiences on the value of purchasing original works of art, and how art directly affects, and reflects, our quality of life.
Original art is exactly what it says – original! At the upcoming Boca Raton Fine Art Show™, you will meet the artist behind the work. He or she will be there, in the booth, to answer your questions or, simply, to tell you how it was done or even the story behind the work. It’s at that point where the connection between buyer – whether first-time buyer or established collector – and artist comes together.
The Boca Raton Fine Art Show™ was voted #68 in the country in its third year, out of several thousand art shows nationwide. One does not need to be educated in art to buy art at the Boca Raton Fine Art Show™. Our jury members have already done the pre-qualifying of the artists for you, so you can be at ease knowing that any purchase made here will be quality work and that the artist in the booth stands behind it. Whether it’s a large piece for your living or office space, or a small piece for the den or hallway, the only thing that matters is whether or not you like it and whether or not it fits your pocketbook. Great art may be purchased at the show for as little as $20, with prices ranging from $20 to $2000 and up. There is something for everyone!
With your original art, it is very unlikely that anyone else will have the same pieces, and your art will add to your own unique collection. You will see that the more artwork you buy, the more you learn. Don’t be afraid to ask any questions, especially since the artist is right there. Little by little, and over the years, small art purchases can turn into one’s largest investment. Isn’t that a great deal?
