“I’m fascinated by the constant change in what we consider our secure and familiar environment, and I find most satisfaction from painting live, on location,” she tell The Rickie Report. “I hope to capture the energy and essence of what appears right now, particularly those everyday scenes that are so much a part of our lives and that we take for granted until they disappear. Painting from direct observation is to me the most real and honest way to live in that moment.”
