National Association of Women Artists (NAWA) Offers Lecture
National Association of Women Artists, (NAWA) Florida Chapter invites you to see their exhibit “Introspections” a collection of fine art paintings, sculptures and photography created by Florida Chapter members. In addition, Carol Prusa will present a lecture, “Emergent Worlds”. The event is open to the public. The National Association of Women Artists ( NAWA), Florida Chapter, invites the public to their exhibit, “Introspections”. On Thursday, October 17th, at 2:00pm, a special lecture will be presented by Carol Prusa, titled “ Emergent Worlds”. The lecture will be followed by a Reception and Awards Ceremony from 4-6 pm.
Carol Prusa is a professor at Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton. She is a nationally known artist who has exhibit widely and served as the juror for the exhibit NAWA Florida exhibit “Introspections”, currently on display through October 18, 2013. Prusa is known for using mathematical models, developed by physicists, to describe the universe. The objects’ interconnectedness gives the viewer a glimpse of order and spirituality, where art and science combine.
National Association of Women Artists fosters public awareness of, and interest in works of art with an emphasis on fine art created by women and encourages the artwork of new emerging artists.
The Florida Chapter carries out the mission of the National Association of Women Artists, Inc., in Florida. The Chapter engages an active program of regional exhibitions, seminars and other educational activities as well as sponsoring annual scholarships for talented and needy art students.
