” Art and Bistro Bash”

Friday, April 19th  4- 8 pm

522 Lucerne through 604 Lucerne Avenue           Lake Worth

The Street between the Businesses will be Filled with Art!

Like most organizations, volunteers constitute the backbone, brains and brawn of their activities.  Bonnie Wilburn  is one of those volunteers who even recruits family members to help ensure successful events!

The Lake Worth Art League (LWAL) was founded in 1941.  It is a nonprofit 501C[3] educational organization to further the study and development of art and enhance the cultural life of its members in the Lake Worth and surrounding Communities.

Bonnie’s imagination is driven by her passion for self-expression through art.  And her inspiration lives all around her!  The flowers and plantings in her yard provide her with the images, while her paintings are noted for their unique style, elegance and technique.

“Strike 2”

Bonnie has developed an innovative approach that blends precise realism with expressionism. Her use of vibrant colors and strong lines make her work an excellent choice for a wide range of projects and purposes. Bonnie is accomplished in using traditional as well as modern methods. Although Bonnie loves to express her vision through art, she is also adept at creating custom works and readily communicates the vision of her clients.

“Jungle Blaze”

Bonnie Wilburn is a self-taught artist who has benefited from the guidance of some excellent instructors. She often uses a palette knife to create these vibrant pieces of art.  Having lived in the Palm Beaches most of her life and when her health forced an early retirement, Bonnie was able to focus on what comes most naturally … expressing her enthusiasm for living her life through bright & expressive artwork. Bonnie’s positive attitude is infectious!

“Birds Nest”

Bonnie can create the perfect piece for any purpose.  She has the ability to bring your vision to life. Her skills allow her to create a wide range of artistic expressions which can be used to decorate your home, office, or place of business.

Bonnie hopes that people will come out to support the Lake Worth Art League so it can continue to offer art classes from beginners to the experienced artist, lectures and demonstrations of different techniques and subject matter.   The LWAL undertakes projects for the City of Lake Worth, such as the mural project at the municipal swimming pool.  The group also sponsors outdoor art shows by its members.
Bonnie Wilburn, a Vice President tells The Rickie Report, “It is so exciting to see an emerging artist finish an art piece and then hang it in the gallery!  We switch out our art display every month and have a artist reception the Sunday afternoon after the ‘take in’. The LWAL has some amazing artists. We are so much a part of the community. We have a lot of fun together!”  To see more of Bonnie’s work please visit: or
The street between the Cottage and LWAL will be closed to automobile traffic, bringing art show to the street!  The LWAL will be open as well for people to look at the gallery.  For more information about the Lake Worth Art League, please c
