Armory Art Center
1700 Parker Ave
West Palm Beach, FL 33401

This Is An APBC and Armory Art Center Sponsored Event

On Tuesday, January 8, PETER HAMMAR will be sharing work he has been doing as a resident artist at the Art Center of South Florida, where his studio installation is currently on view, He has a delightful way of using and combining all sorts of materials, always with a conceptual foundation that adds levels of meaning to each piece, separately and as an installation. Peter was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden and has a background in advertising as an Art Director in New York. Between 1998 and 2002, he worked in New York City, exhibiting nationally and abroad. Peter has been featured in The New York Times, Elle Interior and Plaza Interior magazines. He is an Exhibiting Life Time Member at The National Arts Club in New York, and recently completed his MFA from Florida International University.

At the Mixed / Multi Media Salon, we examine the work of some of the most important artists showing work in museums today, and also meet local artists who are emerging into the larger art world. We’re covering the broader world of conceptual art and where we as artists fit into the big picture. ******* We usually meet on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30-8:30 pm in studio 101, but because New Year’s Day falls on the first Tuesday in January, and because there are five Tuesdays in January, Salons will be on the second and fourth Tuesdays. *******

If you’d like to present the work of an influential artist, or share your own work, please contact Elle Schorr, coordinator of the Salon. Either the actual work or PowerPoint presentations can be shown.

The Armory Art Center is now hosting three different art salon-style groups. All salons are $10, payable at the door. You do not need to be a member of the Armory or APBC to attend. All Salons are in Studio 101, in the long 2 story building behind the garden. Bring snacks to share if you’d like.
