Celebrate An Old Fashioned Labor Day in Lake Worth

Artists, Labor Day and Union Songs
Labor Day Celebrations at Clay Glass Metal Stone Gallery will take place on Friday, September 7 from 6-9 PM. CGMS Gallery is located at 605 Lake Avenue in Downtown Lake Worth. Inside the gallery artists will be displaying the results of their labors as working creators of 3-D wonders. A full feast of Labor Day Foods will greet all visitors.

Outside of the gallery a “soap box” and microphone will grace the sidewalk. Like days of yore, local labor leaders will be invited to speak their minds on Labor Day, its meaning and its role in the fabric our community.
Singing duo, PinkSlip, will lead the crowds in the singing of the songs of labor. PinkSlip features Joan Friedenberg and Bill Bowen, local performers who are regularly booked in venues throughout the county. Over 200 songs books have been printed and will be given away to those who come to sing-along. PinkSlip will take part in a 100 birthday celebration of the songs and story of the life of Woody Guthrie later in the season.
Clay Glass Metal Stone Cooperative Gallery is sponsored by the Flamingo Clay Studio, a non-profit arts organization whose mission is to provide affordable studio and gallery space for three-dimensional artists. The gallery is located at 605 Lake Avenue in downtown Lake Worth. Hours are Sunday thru Tuesday, 9AM-1PM. Wednesday thru Saturday, 9AM-9PM.
