You Can Help Amber Moran Support Molly’s House

The Rickie Report is a big believer in thanking the community. We’ve seen Amber Moran’s beautiful paintings at many local outdoor shows, but when she told us about this one, we knew she deserved the spotlight.  We hope you’ll come to this event to support Amber’s family and Molly’s House! Amber was recently asked to exhibit her work at the Molly’s House in Stuart for the month of September http://www.mollyshouse.org/index.php/mollys-gallery.

Molly’s House  Art Reception

Thursday September 6, 2012

5:30 - 7:00 pm

430 S.E Osceola Street   Stuart, FL

Meet Amber Moran

“I’m very honored and excited to be a part of something so special and hope to sell some of my art in hopes to donate a portion to the Molly’s House. Their mission is to “provide affordable temporary housing to patients and their families during crises requiring medical treatment on the Treasure Coast”.

Amber shares, “It’s very special to me because my oldest son, Conlan, was born with many medical issues and my husband and I (as well as our family) spent quite a bit of time in different hospitals (three in South Florida) and temporary hospital housing. I really don’t know what we would have done without it”.

Amber’s paintings give the impression of movement and life as she captures a child digging in the sand at the beach.

Digging For Treasure

One feels the depth of Amber’s details while feeling the openness of her artwork.  It is light and airy yet substantial.

Banyan Tree

Amber has been passionate about painting and illustrating since a young girl and has always loved to experiment with paint splashes and textures. She is captivated with the transparent element found when playing with watercolor paints. Her artwork is largely influenced by nature and the tropical environment of South Florida. She enjoys using subject matter such as the ocean and other wildlife since they already hold such brilliant color.

Baby Loggerhead

By using the combination of paint splatters and drips she artistically portrays the environment, such as the ocean, while expertly capturing fish and other wildlife realistically. Her style combines watercolor and illustration by extending her artwork onto the mat using black ink and bits of paint. Amber is an exhibiting artist in South Florida as well as the “Treasure Coast” and her artwork hangs in many homes globally.

Dolphin with Ballihoo

As a Graduate Assistant and Assistant Coordinator of the Encore program of Elmira College she educated students in the exposure, exploration, and appreciation of the classical and cultural performing arts.  To reach Amber:  www.ambermmoran.com
